I just checked my control panel and see that I have been lurking here a few days shy of one year, and I find that I enjoy visiting this site more and more. Great site and a wonderful source of building ideas. Now that I am retired, I get to play in my shop (except when I have to cut the grass or fix a faucet) almost every day. This site introduced me to the many variations of rat rod bikes, and I am looking forward to building a few. A few years back I was involved (along with some other partners) in the creation of a motorized bike we called the ZipCycle, a cantilever-framed cruiser powered by a friction-drive string-trimmer engine (we used the Homelite). Had a lot of fun and I loved getting back into bicycles. I'll try to add some photos of some of the bikes I have built since I retired. The problem with this site is it gives me too many ideas...Still having fun in retirement.
