Purchased my first cruiser - just to get my feet wet - a '98 Retroglide. Waiting for it to arrive. Meanwhile, while searching for ways to customize the Raleigh, I found myself drawn to the vintage (1950s) Columbia. Even purchased some misc parts for one. Not sure what I've gotten myself into. :?

Okay... you guys weren't kidding when you said this was addicting.

This all started when I tried to find a rear rack and fenders for a 1998 Raliegh Retroglide 6.

Believe it or not, I've since become the proud steward of a 1949 Schwinn DX, a 1948 Schwinn step-through (maybe the Meteor?), and a 1952 Schwinn Tornado. Hoping to build a tank bike with the Tornado - likely a green Hornet.

Still collecting parts for a Columbia 5-Star, but I've switched my focus to the Vintage Schwinns and Western Flyers.
So much for my 1998 Raleigh. I slapped some chrome fenders on it and called it quits.

Not nearly as nice as the bikes you've collected Nick, but what to heck.... a person has to start somewhere, right? (laughs)
