I Picked this guy up to help my daughter build her first old school bike...anyone have any info on it? There is a Hawthorne sticker on the front that says Chicago 7 IL, but there are two holes on either side as if there once was a badge. Any and all info is welcome, thanks guys!
 
Yes, but I can't find a reference of one that does not have the additional support bar. Also, I believe the tank has a missing piece that extends beyong the front that houses two lights. . .

I think I read somewhere that the SE with the serial number was a Snyder thing. I can't remember where I read it though and my Snyder built 41 does not have it.
 
It's an early 60s Snyder-built Hawthorne. This style frame wasn't as popular as the others, but there are a few still around.
