Feeling pretty proud, ThundrrrJr joined the Air Cadets this fall, marched in the big Remembrance Day parade. It was freezing and a little bit of snow fell. He was shivering in the cold, but afterwards, he told me, "Dad, I just thought about what the soldiers went through, and I could do it."

Matti, are you a be piper as well as your son?

No, neither of us play, but the kilts make good photos. We have a large Scottish population in our area, our local army regiment is known as the Glengarry Highlanders. He's in the group on the left, not as good a picture, but the lads do love that howitzer on the other side past those Mounties
