G'day all!
Pete from Maroochydore on the Sunshine coast.
Stumbled on the forum while checking out the Mongoose beast through google.
First thread I started reading had the primered beast by Rat rod and I fell in love with that great looking bike.
Just got back from a bike shop near Brisbane that had a beast in stock.
Got the green one with front disk brake.
Keen to change the crankset but have no idea what to look for...any advice appreciated.
Pretty keen to run some Sunlite crushers on it eventually.
No snow around here so I suppose I'll just take it to the beach and scatter some holidaymakers (I jest).

As for the crankset, some of the Fatbikes threads have addressed that issue. I'm not sure which threads, but it's all good reading.

$479.
Comes with a disk brake on the front too.
Super cycles at Morayfield.
I'd already quizzed 99Bikes who stock Mongoose but didn't have one on the floor but could get one in for me for $464 (if memory serves).
I wanted to ride one first though.
So I took a drive to Morayfield yesterday and rode the beast, a $1099 geared Sinbao and an Electra fast five around their car park.
The beast was the most comfortable and I liked the inertia it built up with its weight.
Plus I could visualise it with some Rat rod inspired mods like the bars and layback seat post already.
