You're right rickster, it is a Murray Monterey. I don't know what year, probably early 80's by the modern badge. Also there is a pretty ugly seam where the bottom bracket was joined. I may leave as is and use it as a means to lure some unsuspecting friend into the seedy world of cruisers. My old wrestling coach is a tri-athelete and looked at my bikes like "what planet did these come from? "how do you ride it" and where are the brakes? I'm trying to get people to understand that you don't have to ride for 50 miles at 20 miles an hour.

ha i know some1 who just got that same bike for 25 bucks, u got a better deal. I told him to put some apes on it and ride it, He sold it and baught a bmx bike :x stupid kid lol.
