Re: forever changing '62 schwinn american

Went back to the 90mm nitto jaguar stem. Reinstalled my basket but made it so i can take it off without taking off the whole wheel.

Re: forever changing '61 schwinn american

my wife and i went for a 25 mile cruise. she's beginning to love this bike.

to preserve some of the oem stuff i went with an upgraded and lighter wheels and high psi faster rolling tires.

front: alex y2000 aluminum rim mounted to a 36h joytech mtb hub converted to bolt on with a heat treated cromo axle and track slip proof nuts, 26" x 2.0 kenda kwick

rear: kt 305r 36h hub mounted to a double wall alex dm18 rim & 26" x 2.0 kenda kwick

boom stripped the paint off the truss rods i picked up from bikesnbuses, and underneath was some awesome patina.

Thank you. I found a shorter reach era specific quill but ended up breaking the 60 year old wedge bolt.

The wife and i went for a 15 mile ride averaged 12mph with a top speed of 18mph. At the beginning of the trail were these cool vintage train bridges turned into bridges for the trail.
