Got in town too late. Glad to hear you guys had fun, maybe next year!
Yesterday's ride finished up our 3rd year/season of our "last saturday/dam rides". We'll still get together over the winter if a nice weekend pops up. But once spring rolls back around you can count on us being back out there again on the last saturday of every month. When the weather is cool in the spring and fall, we time our rides to have us downtown for lunch. When the miserable summer heat kicks in, we ride super early and eat breakfast (beat the heat). These upcoming winter/cool/cold months... we don't usually leave the dam until 1ish in the afternoon so we get to ride in the warmth of the day.
Over the last 3 years, there have been about 5 of us that make it out every time. We've all become great friends and always have a great time whenever we get together.
If you are anyone else is ever going to be in chattanooga and want to get together for a ride, just shoot me or dorr a message and we'll see if we can't get something going.
Agree! Yeah there wasn't 100 plus bikes that showed up like we would like to see one day. Maybe shoot for the longest group of bikes on a greenway
But anyway those 8 of us who came had a blast. The weather was perfect for a comfortable ride. The fellowship among bike enthusiast was fantastic with a great mixture of bicycles with both male and female riders. We pulled out at 10 am and we were back at our vehicles by 1:30 pm. We go at a nice comfortable pace, no racing, just taking it all in.
With that being said, We hope you will consider coming out next time.
