I'm now building my dream bike... a motorized Felt Slater!
This bike is new from the box.
I just finished with the 'in frame' gas tank & I'll be starting on the rest of the build in a few days... I'll post more pics as it happens.

There are many holes at both ends that must be filled before covering the inside of the frame with gas tank liner.

I've been thinking how that particular frame would make one of the best modern motobikes because of that "frame tank".

Sealing the holes in the tank is a bit of a secret for now... There have been a few people who've done this before, but this is my new (Improved) way of doing it. :wink:

I just got the engine in today using those Ampt mounts... Here's a few new pics.

Here's a little update... I wasn't happy with the rear engine mount, so I'm in the process of making a new one from steel.
Here's a pic with the old mount.

Those are the Felt forks that came with the bike.

Here's a update on the Slater... The engine got a full port & polish & was pretty fast on the last LA club ride. It really would've gone a lot faster with a smaller rear sprocket!, so I decided to go
'all out' & install a SBP HD shifter kit, a Shimano Alfine 8-speed hub & front & rear Clark 185 hydraulic disc brakes.
Here's some pics of the rear hub installed & ready to go.

A little update on the new 8-speed hub... I took the rear wheel off to relace it for the front disc hub, & I put the new rear wheel on for a test fitting for the custom rear disc brake mount.

The frame had to be spread about 3/16".
