Picked myself up a Dyno Taboo Tiki today, absolutely stoked! I'm a massive tiki fan (I carve and paint tikis), so Ive always loved these. Was lucky enough to do some dealing with halfdone, and in the end i think we were both happy (well I certainly was!) I managed to wrangle some Electra hibiscus pattern whitewalls and the apes out of him to go with the bike, and I love how it looks! She'll get the tiki back on the front fender, some carved tikis for valve caps, and pinstriping on the fenders too. 8) and some green Oury grips too. I'll make sure I get some decent pics in daylight too

Glad your happy with it mate....... I couldn't bring myself to sandblasting it and repainting

The apes and flower whitewalls look good on it.

If you are going to do some hand carved valve caps, why not also do a matching handcarved tiki to replace the plastic one on the fender ...... make it so it bolts on to the same mount.

Also, how about doing a tiki seat stem cover ....... a Tiki with a hole bored through the middle that slips over the seat stem ??

Have fun dude

Okay, the hub need some work, so ive thrown on a 26/24inch rim combo off a Dyno Deuce Fireball on, no name front rubber and a Thick Brick up back. This is the wheel/tire combo for my stretch cruiser, but for now she's keeping the tiki bike rollin, so its all good. 8) Some pics from todays ride

CAPS LOCK! welcome dude! You might want to post an intro and let us know a little about yourself and to show us your tiki bike. :D

DEJAVOODOOTABOO TIKI ,the story behind this tiki is that it was left out proped beside a shed as well as the ladies dynoglide cruiser from that year, it had to be restored as best as possible due to weather , god i should kick my self i sold the ladies dynocruiser for 75 dollars im gonna go back to the lady i sold it too and offer her more than what i sold it for , a set was purchased by a soldier before he was shipped out to iraq and it was left behind .it was faded from the sun on one side where it sat against the shed, i have the original handle bars and the crank .it was really alot of work but it feels great to ride , it is so smooth like a caddilac,i have the tanks to finish im going tribal fire with them in orange like the rims .it was imposible to replace the original taboo decals so i done the best i could ,you know i learned a great lesson from this bike "kustom kulture " build it ,make it ,paint it ,style it "so cal "big daddy ed roth , von dutch , von franco , ratfink , ratrod and to all i give thanks

:D hours of meticulous sanding with a dremel on the fender supports ,the inner rim hubs , taping the spokes ,taping the rims , sanding screws ,taping screw holes , drilling old rusted screws out ,sanding and painting hours of work ,i enjoyed every second of it just knowing i was one of the few the proud taboo tiki owners ,and i would feel so good riding around the local beaches on my own customized taboo tiki ,im still not finished just taking things in stride and adding on over time im looking at a bullet head light replacement and a rear kick stand im looking into the tank design when i get more done i will update and add more pics and let you guys check it out .
