What's with the cards in the rear wheels? I see this a lot on fixed gear bikes.

They are spoke cards. I think originally they were made to commemorate an alley cat race.

I think they put their insurance cards in their spokes in lieu of having brakes and because their jeans are too tight. Either that or the cards are from some race/alley cat/bike event they attended.

its a new fad, you stick post cards from where your bike has been in the spokes. if theres a lightning bolt, automobile or a sailboat in the picture on the postcard, they also make your bike go faster. :wink:
