Famed proto-blogger James Lileks doesn't remember a single story from the comic books he read as a kid, but he remembers the ads. In between the Charles Atlas ads telling you how to grow manly muscle and the X-Ray specs that encouraged unmanly leering, were ads for bicycles. Beautiful big bikes:
