Re: Cleveland Welding mystery bike

Looks good as it sits now.

The frame looks late 40's, just a guess.

Re: Cleveland Welding mystery bike

That looks alot like my 1946 CWC frame. The front fork on mine is a monark springer, which is one of my favorites. The Bee Hive springer on your bike looks really good too! 8)

Re: Cleveland Welding mystery bike

I would ride it just as is. Looks nice. I'd probably chop an inch off the bars to get the grips a little farther up too. Great bike.

Re: Cleveland Welding mystery bike

Nice bike. I'm liking it. I went with a CWC and a Beehive on my military build that I am working on. The frame and fork match up really well if you ask me.

Where is your upper truss rod? I hope the acorn nuts didn't snap off like mine did.

Re: Cleveland Welding mystery bike

Nevermind...I see where you converted from a girl's fork. Guessing the truss is too long. You can always saw it off and then cut new threads with a die. I completely re-made my truss. I think I used a 5/16 18 die for my threads.

Re: Cleveland Welding mystery bike

CWC with beehive springer? There's a lot of that going around. I flipped the brackets to stretch it forward.

Your sprocket is the same as the one on my 46 CWC. This one is a 53.
