Yeah, I have a bottle here...Was hoping there was another way.
Wire wheel doesn't seem to cut the mustard...:)

Acid or sand blasting are the only ways I'm aware of.

I bought a little backpack sand blaster on the bay for $30, can get a 7# bag of media at Lowe's for about $10.
I'm not sure what media you'd need though, probably glass. Not sure walnut shell would touch good chrome.
