Chico's cool, but don't knock YC. I love it. I own a house in YC, and have worked in the area for a couple of decades. I like how I can bicycle from West Yuba City to East Marysville in about 20 minutes. And hey, it's got a Sonic! 
BUT you live in Sact.
Yuba has a very small bike scene but it is slooooooooooooooooooooooooowly growing (Well, for cruisers. The other bikes are already firmly entrenched.). Chico is a MUCH more bike friendly city. They also have a lot more diverse places to ride(for all kinds of riding). I'll pack up the car and drive for an hour to go ride up there anytime. But then again I spent almost 20 years in Chico so I may be biased.

yea chico is definately somethin else ive only driven definately alot more bike frienfly than my hometown (modesto) and i love the dramatic change in terrain

What?! My teen years were in Oroville, so going to Chico was always the thing to do.

in my eyes bidwell is the crown jewel of the city I love spending time up there thrashing my mountain bike or just cruising around
