ok i forgot the camera when i saw this, but i promise to get photos of it. My mom bought this bike from an old lady who said it would make a great "lawn ornament" i have no clue what kinda of bike it is. The frame has a skiptooth hawthorne sprocket and a new departure hub, twin tube straight bar frame, truss rods, neat lugging around the headtube. and the badge says "True Test" that is all i know on the bike, im guessing its from the 40s.

does this sound familiar to anyone? i'll snap some photos next time i see it

I have a Tru-Test bike that my cousin gave me. In my case the bike was manufactured by Monark in the 1950s. It is a Monark Rocket that was re-badged for Tru-Test (which, as tnt1 stated, was probably a hardware store).
