last week (July 29-Aug 3) my GF and I went camping at the Governor Dodge State Park in Wisconsin. It's a really nice park w/nice hiking trails, a dog swimming area (important to us dog owners!), off & on-road biking...and geo-caching. the park is 5000+ acres in the Driftless area, so the rock outcroppings are nice. the park has so much stuff...but no place to clean clothes. On thursday we went into town to do a load (or 3) of the dirty stuff...i walked over to the Kwik Stop to get a soda-pop and saw the Headlines "35W Bridge Collapse!" I freaked out! that bridge is about a mile from my house...many people in my life use that bridge (me included!)...after a few calls home, we learned that one person we knew was on the bridge at the time (the youth-program specialist from the school bus).
I have not been to see the bridge (what's left of it) yet...
