I know a lot of you guys and gals already have your build off bikes planed out or are gathering parts. So here is a place to give us all a sneak peek. Here's my frame, a Roadmaster /Fantastic One or AMF / Flying wedge or Western Flyer / Fast One. Nice and ratty with a killer patina.

Little rough

Great bike, I really like the chain guard.

Thanks, I plan to carry the shape of the tank and guard out in a couple of different areas as well.

Cool, mine's a bit of a basket case but it has potential to be a fun build. I have no idea what year mine is but I have been told it is a Western Flyer - Fast One. I am trying to hold off of doing anything to it till the build off except tearing it down to it's components and getting it apart so it will be ready to build. So far I have had to chop the crank to get it off the frame because the peddles were rusted solid and the chain ring bolt was also seized on so it got the grinder too. The bearings, few bolts, chain ring, and pie plate were saved though. The seat post is stuck so I'll have to work on that later when I get to the store for more PB blaster. Also has a cool sleeve like thing around the seat post so a normal seat will fit on the shaft so that is a bonus and will come in handy on another bike I have.

Are these worth anything or is it okay to chop into it and rat it out. I am thinking since mine is so incomplete I should be okay. I only got $40 into it. So did I get a deal, ripped off, or about right?

the one i got was 40 bucks as welli was told restored it might be wirh about 140-150
if its a fast one it might be 70's but im not sure
id say its k to cut it up if its really gone the parts for these are scarce
i ratted mine up with flt black paint then i sold but now i got it back and its being restored
the one yiu have looks like its solid enough to be a rat but would take alot to restore it so i say rat it up and do youre thing with it
if you canget me th serial i an tell you the year on it i have to check but i know its at least from the 70's
i have a few parts if you need them f you do decide to restore it

now thats an awesome theme man!!!
gassers go with rat roddin as far as iconic hot rods
my nomad gasser is my baby shes fast tough and loves to wheelie
i been toying with that idea i will send you some f my ideas if you want them
things like a mini keg on the front to mmick the oil tank i been building a raised suspension setup for my sting ray out of 2 old mountain tamer 20 inch bike forks to give the back a lift
you could fit a 20x3 tire in that frame but the fender wont fit unless you wanna modify it
im interested in this build im subscribing
these bikes are sweet and i a curious to what they can look like
keep us informed as soon as i recover fro the flu im gonna get building my wedge up
thanks for sharing

Glad to see there is gonna be a trike build. Schwindian was one of my faves last year.

My bike and a mystery part.

46 CWC, dogleg skip tooth crank, full fenders.

Mystery part, but I know what it is. My Dad picked it in Niagara Falls in the 40's. The bike's theme will be based on this part.

Looks like some kind of locomotive whistle ( I think the train in the back is a hint?) :?
