Kudos to Ruth Ann LeRutte, charming wife of RRB member Mad Max 58, for coining the term:
*Bikesters*
Like all great ideas, it is simple, and so obvious that it leaves you scratching your head, and wondering why you didn't think of it before. But it seems so fitting for our corner of the bicycling world.
"Cyclists" is fine for the roadies, fixies, MTB riders.
"Bikers" of course, is already taken by the MC crowd.
Our end of the scene (including, of course, all the fine folks over at the CABE and elsewhere)is classics, cruisers, choppers, and rats. Laid back cruisin' with that ol' school attitude.
Yeah- Bikesters. I love it!
