Hey Matti. I think you might like these. These Ritchey mtbs are owned by a bloke in NY on another forum.

81 Ritchey Everest. It came from the Seattle area. The owner states Charley Kelly built the wheels on this bike and the next one which he also owns.

83 Ritchey Competition. The frame looks to be lugged but is fillet brazed. They are “faux lugs” that Ritchey created during the brazing process.

Nope, like is a tremendous understatement. Those are gorgeous! Was already in love with the gold Ukai rims before you mentioned the Charlie K connection. The filleted Bullmoose bars are sick business too. Thanks for the share. NY isn't too far from me, did they provide an address?

I plan on being at Bonneville when Mr. Brodie runs his Aermacchi. I haven't been there since 2016 but a buddy of mine goes every year.

Speed week 2024 info here.

We should do a Rat Rod meet-up.

ah! Bonneville is a bucket list item. prolly never get there :-(

I’ve been there but not during speed week. We swung by on a cannonball run out to Laguna Seca for MotoGP

Still have a jar of salt on my Burt Munro shelf
We have a Bonneville here to about 10 mins from Mattie and I....a less exciting a saw mill, flea market and a Tim Hortons because no matter how small there's a need for one. Use to have the free Ritchey I scored

While watching the link above "The true story of Paul Brodie bikes", approximately 21 minutes into the vid, Paul shows a pic of his home-shop and I swear it looks like a Rat Rod Build Off pic to me!! Very inspirational....

It just goes to show that you never know where your passions will take you.........
