Another 26x3 Question

Has anyone out there run 26x3's on a Schwinn HD or a Worksman? From what I understand 24x3's will fit but I just picked up two industrial frame and forks and they seem to have more space than normal frames do. I only have one of the heavy duty rims and I know they spread the tire out a little more, seeing how they are a little wider but I will more than likely run normal 26" wheels.

Yea, when I search for something online here I have to specify "Texas" or I will get hits from places in Indiana.

From the center of the axel to the outside edge of the tire they are 14 1/4'' and they are 3'' wide. Measure and see if you have that much room. :wink:

A 26x3 will fit on a older Schwinn fork. I did it with a 1950 ballooner fork. Got to tighten the axle low in the drop out.s
