Next up for deburring is the stem. Seems to take on the cast look before chrome application.

Going for the rough industrial on most of the chrome. Will leave the chain ring shiny for contrast. If anyone tries this make sure to apply a matte clear coat or stain of choice; of course if you like rust forget the sealers.

I am heating my parts up and dipping them in beeswax to anneal the finish to a dark iron finish.

1st mock up of front fender. After trying out several different lengths; settled on this one.

Made a rookie mistake: This mock up fender will fit 24" wheel; used a 26" rim for fender. So simple solution is to use a 24" wheel. Will check stance. If the 24" wheel looks wrong, will remake using 28" rim.

Still have to make the rear fender, which will be longer in keeping with scale. Will use 28" rim for rear fender for certain.

Plan to add round tube bumper to finish out the front fender and for safety reasons.

Scrapped the fender in the above pic. The 24" tire fit perfectly with that fender; didn't like the stance.

So, couldn't find a 28" in my stockpile and used a 27". The result is a 1/8 " clearance & no tire rub. However, going to Bike Saviours, Tempe to scrounge a pair of 28", which give me up to 1/2" or as little as 1/4" clearance.

I did away with the dodads on the fender; and let the copper clamps & bronze rivets be the contrast. Will finish adding the remaining clamps & rivets when I get the 28" rims.

Your fenders and my rear wheel almost look like they came from the same mind... strange.

But I like them.
 
Test fit looks good on the rear "fender". Just need to trim the top even with stay; and add fender strut to give an even reveal around the tire.
I have a copper 3G wheel that will fit well under the wider rear fender.

Got to fab fender struts front & back.
