The shifter I was planning using is not going to work, so I will be adding a 346 shifter instead. Only down side is that I did not prep the frame for a 346 shifter so ill have to drill the holes and hope it goes well.

Under the chain stay

Over the chain stay if i go over i could use some nice chrome pointed acorn nuts.

Have to cover up the scratch from the 1st shifter i tried.

I like under, but it will depend on how you are mounting it, are you drilling through the stay and bolting it? If so it may look better on top...

I agree with Luke. Underside... Still covers scratch too. Just looks cleaner.

I'd go under, with a suicide style shifter it just looks more dangerous. But that's just me.
