Here's my newest pair. 1962 Schwinn Corvette and a skip-tooth Hawthorne that I think is prewar. The Corvette isn't as pretty as I thought it was originally but I still like it anyway.....

I have a decent Starburst badge I'd sell. It doesn't have the alignment tab but those rarely come out with the badge. It's got a little chip on the edge and the letters appear white because the black paint stayed with the glue on the bike. I believe it could be painted from the back and it would show through the front. I'll check tomorrow and snap some pictures if you'd be interested.

Corvette looks pretty solid. Those are really nice riding bikes.
The Hawthorne is not prewar however.

From the looks of those truss rods, someone really crashed that bike hard. Gary
They're not damaged, just out of alignment with the fork.

The reason I was thinking it might be a pre-war bike is because of the headbadge. I googled for info and the headbadge on it was listed as a late 30's to 40's.

the corvette looks like it has a bendix 2 speed on it . it would have 3 red bands on the hub. i have a 1961 red corvette, chrome fenders and a 2 speed red band.
