So many cool summer songs!!!

Here's another five branded in my brain. I'm showing my age?

The Drifters - Under the Boardwalk - 1964

The Cowsills - Indian Lake - 1968

Janis Joplin - Summertime - 1969

Seals and Crofts - Summer Breeze - 1972

Jimmy Buffett - Margaritaville - 1977

Great song! This song reminds me of being at the beach after Labor Day when the sunset is earlier than normal and the sky is crystal clear AND it is still warm out!

I've got a 187 song cruisin playlist on my ipod which I rock on every ride (even to and from work), through my bike ipod speaker. Some of you guys got to hear a taste on the Hartford cruise last month. It was tough but I narrowed it down to 5, for this thread...

1. Henry Mancini - "Peter Gunn (new version)" - the version with the double trumpet solo (performed by one guy!)

2. James Brown - "Night Train" - can't mess with James Brown

3. Herbie Hancock - "Chameleon" - a good long groove.

4. Reverend Horton Heat - "Big Sky" - gets ya movin.

5. Johnny Cash - "Ghostriders in the Sky" - you also can't mess with Johnny Cash.

I better click submit before I revise this list for the 3rd time.

Time bomb - Rancid
Over seasons - Authority Zero .....(check it out if you don't know it!!!)
Take Warning - Operation Ivy
Noise Complaint - Big D and the kids table
Science of selling yourself short - Less Than Jake

It's so hard to pick only 5!!!!

I think a summer playlist must be started.
