How it all started.

Well, she's pretty much done for the summer. I am going to "swiss cheese" the pedal cages some time this week and add a Schwinn gold/yellow prism decal to the plate when I can find one.

The bike was built as maybe a father would build one in the early 80s. A grown up bike for the father who wanted to hang w/ his kids(s) but didn't want to spend major coin on a race bike.

I made a few changes since the last photo and also made one concession to modern braking by adding a better lever.

I'll post a parts breakdown a bit later. Thanks for looking!

It really came together nicely...love the gold ano parts.

What size sprocket ratio are you running?

Love that number plate too.

I'm running a 40/20 ratio. The bike was built to look fast, but I wanted to have something to cruise w/ my wife & friends on concrete. It's pretty easy and laid back to get around on, but does require some pedaling from time to time.

The number plate is an OGK. There's someone selling a bunch of them on ebay.
