Need some help identifying this beast. Every time I think I have the frame narrowed down the fork or chainring don't seem right. It has a New Departure hub rolling 26" rims not sure if it originally had 28" or not. Any idea on value? My mom grabbed it for me at a garage sale for a song and I'd like to tell her how far the $20 she spent is going to go. She was 3 blocks from my house and I was gone for the weekend camping.....she saved my BUTT, plus I'd have been embarrassed to offer so little so she saved me cash. Thanks mom!

If you can't tell it has a peeling and very poor repaint.

Don't think it's a Schwinn, it's definitely a 1930's Motobike maybe a shelby or a Hawthorne.

Wow...I think you nailed it, Scribble. Here's a 1928 "Lindy" bike that was manufactured by Shelby. Plenty of similarities between this bike and yours--frame, crank, saddle, handlebars. In fact, the substitute fenders and Lindburgh tribute items are about the only things that are different. Tell me, Hoek, how are you feeling about your mom now?!

Thanks guys. Any idea on the value? I'm looking to sell this or my Western Flyer to put some cash together to finish about a half dozen projects that have been languishing because of lack of funds. The Flyer is a 1 year only 1941 Tall Tank (I think?). Any idea on market and value would help me decide, I never sell per war so I'm lost.
