3" Tire on a 20"x2.125 Wheel?

Has any one tried a 3" tire on a 20x2.125" wheel? I saw a post where someone put one on a 24" but didn't state the rim width. I am looking at a tire that has rounded corners and was thinking about trying it for my latest chopper project. What do you think?

I'm getting lined up with some 3" wide 26" tires for my 2.125" rims. Does this become more of an issue with broader diameter wheel? i.e.: if it works on a 20"x 2.125" rim will it work on a 26" x 2.125" rim?

the front tire on the ratty truck is a 20x3 on a standard rim and it works fine
