I just got a cranbrook real cheap and like when I was a kid I wanna change it into a bmx cruiser type :D my question if you may the rim om the bike now are super clean Crome but the rear tire has a crack in the middle threats so I wanted to change them the size is (57-559) 26x2.125 will any other size work as long as its 26" tire not to versed on the big tire and what the 2.125 means any help or advise will be appreciated. Also do the tire have to be each cruiser tire

Stay away from fractional. If it had 26x2.125 then a 26x1.5 will fit, a 26x 1 3/8th will not.

Cool ill keep that in mind what I really want to do is turn my cruiser to a bmx type bike change handle bars and changw the tire without the white wall but the rims are nice so I just need different tires
Thank you guys

Kenda k-rads. Usually under 20 bux ea. They make a 26x2.35 and a 2.125(i think). Good on street and dirt. Bigger ones shud fit as i put a pair on an early 60's rollfast middle weight.
This just the first listing i cud find, look around for cheaper price.

You need some tires like the k-rads or kiniptions or holy rollers or even super cheapo kenda k80s, plus a cheap bmx quill stem (black ops) and whatver bmx bars you like. Get some AME grips for cheap, and a more bmx-ish saddle, and you're good. Also, strip off any fenders or chaingrards if you haven't.

Here's what i'd do, via niagara:
http://www.niagaracycle.com/categories/kenda-k-rad-26-x-2-30-black-black-steel $19/each
http://www.niagaracycle.com/categories/ame-tri-grips-closed-end-black $4/set black tri-grips. classic
http://www.niagaracycle.com/categor...-handlebar-crossbar-style-26wx-8hx-7-8-chrome cw-knock off blacl ops bars. $8
http://www.niagaracycle.com/categories/black-ops-mx-stem-1-black$15. cheap but solid bmx quill stem
http://www.niagaracycle.com/categories/sunlite-bicycle-saddle-quilted-racing-black$7. World's cheepest saddle. Not bmx, really, but has that late 70s strandie look.

Total: $73.

Weird that i gave u a shopping list, but I like to see what i'd do, if i were in your shoes.

Thanks again guys definately gonna make mine bmx so pumped up now also loking at the gum wall tire and that handle bar looks good
Here how it looks so far . I took off the fender and changed seat just need some nice tires too and handle bars and then turn it into freewheel action with a rear wheel hand break but that after I get these things
