Well This is my 1974 Schwinn Sting-Ray that I built over the past few weeks cause I was missing my old one but this one is soooo much cooler.
Well heres how I got it.
I was searching for months for this thing you know "Bike shops,Craigslist,Friends, and random people on the street". But just as I was going to give up I looked on Craigslist and I had all ready said I'm just going to build a old school beach cruiser, So I call this "guy" about one and he said "I just sold it but I do have this low rider bike but its a 20 inch" so I told the guy I'll look at it and it was in okay shape so took it off his hands for 25 bucks.
And when I started to look at it more I was like "no way it can't be" so I took the paint off with some stripper and their it was the code of the sting-rays.
First pic is of when I started taking the paint off.
And heres when all the paint is off and smoothed out.
And here are the codes. HQ530374 and some more code.
And heres where the "guy" cut the kickstand off.
And started cutting.
And heres it in primmer and smoothed out.
And heres some of the parts that I found and bought.
And heres the semi finished product of my hard work.
And now the finished Sting-Ray.
The Semi custom brakes.
The new-ish leather seat.
The chopped and cropped chaingard.
And the OEM red Chicago badge.
