Looking to get a ballpark value on this bike. I'm getting married in less than a year and I know this bike is going to be on the chopping block pretty soon.

It is a 1940 Columbia sold through Merion department stores. Overall it is original, but it is missing the horn unit, front light, and the drop stand.

Are you sure its a '40? That style guard is not usually seen after 1939 but with Westfield built bikes some crazy parts combos do show up from time to time. My opinion on price would be $600-$700 depending on if its a local or internet sale. If it was any other color than that very common Columbia blue it would probably bring a little more. Great bike that anybody should be proud to own. Also, good luck on the future wedding, it will be the greatest day of your life!

I contacted Mr. Columbia and he said it was a 40.

Thank you for your valuation. I appreciate it. And I am certainly looking forward to the wedding!
