Just scored this for $40 off Craigslist. I talked him into throwing in the sweetheart skiptooth no charge. The patina is awesome!! I orginally just wanted the pre-war truss rod forks for my boardtrack build but I feel like I would burn eternally to seperate this beauty. I really want to build it now. Need the parts missing, stem, wheels/tires, cranks, chainguard. The guy I got it from just sold parts of it on the cabe. Looking to recover or find those parts from other bikes otherwise I'm parting this out the rest of the way minus the seat and the forks. It's a shame it was complete at one point.

thanks!! this is my first and only pre-war. Not my dream pre-war but I'm pretty stoked. I would love to get my hands on a pre-war mens frame & fork but this makes me pretty happy. I'm probably just gonna throw it together to have something for my sister and replace the 50s Columbia/JC Higgins parts for era correct Shelby parts as I find them and when money comes up. I got a baby due in 2 weeks and this was my last "okay, honey, but this is the last one" for a while.

thanks, I'm really diggin' the patina as well. I almost got it thrown together with some columbia, higgins and/or murray made parts.

Love that bike. Here is what pretty much "stock" looks like. Mine came with Xbrace bars. How did you figure out it was a '36?

I think these came dressed up as Airflows also.

The guy was a fellow RRB member and frequented many local bike shows, had a garage full of oldies and seemed to know his Shelbys
