1 inch threadless headset questions

I would like to get a triple tree fork for my motor bike but they are all 1 inch threadless and my bike is threaded. I know 1 inch threadless headsets exist but I'm wondering if they are "plug and play" with an old head tube.
I would get a springer but my headtube is 7.5 inches long

What is the inner diameter of the head tube? You should be able to get a 1" threadless headset to fit a 30.2 mm or 32.7 mm head tube.

You'll pay thru the nose for a "bmx"-sized 1" threadless. At this point, you got a limited supply of NOS stuff and Chris King NoThreadsets at about $140 each. Cheaper move would be to get some 1.125"-to-1" headtube reducer shims, turn them down a hair to fit your headtube, and then run whatever "mini" threadless 1" set you'd like. . . .
