    Slightly stretched sex change

I had planned on flipping the guts of the seat upside down with this seat post, but upon assembly I found that it's impossible with this seat because the rails under the seat are too narrow, and the seat post won't go in there right. Have no fear, I bent up a new seat post this morning that is...

First Trike, I got some questions

Thanks, like I said, that's what I assumed, but didn't know. You say like it 'was', does that mean you don't have the trike anymore, or did you change/alter something in the setup?

First Trike, I got some questions

So I picked up this trike, and connected to the seat post it has these supports that have set screws in them, I haven't messed with them, because I don't really know what they're for. They don't look like they are supporting the seat post, but my assumption is that if you mess with the set...

    Slightly stretched sex change

So I guess all of the solid steel seat posts I make for the bikes I ride are identical, but with the seat that I chose in this instance, it doesn't really look good at all. I guess I am going to have to make more of an arc, as opposed to the straight bend that I have here. I really like how...

    Slightly stretched sex change

Bent up a solid steel seat post today, put on some rusty (for now) handlebars and covered an old ten speed seat in ostrich. Here's the seat, when the paint is good to go on the seat post, I'll post more pics.

    Slightly stretched sex change

I was thinking about making some drag bars that followed the same bend as the top tube, but I'm 6'5" tall, and I like to sit up while I ride, so ape hangers it is, I guess.

    Slightly stretched sex change

Some of the things I didn't photo document was how I got that tire on the back, I cut the bottom support brace that held the chain stays apart off, and stretched the chain stays out 3 inches wider than I needed it with a piece of scrap tubing, then I re-welded a new piece of flat stock steel...

    Slightly stretched sex change

Started with a ladies westpoint frame I had laying next to my garage for a few years now. I've dreamt about what to do with this thing every day with my first cigarette and coffee of the morning, staring at it.

How could i make a laid back Seat Post?

I made one out of 14 gauge steel on a bender, it bent under my 200lbs after one ride. Next day I used 3/4" round solid stock. Put it on the tubing bender, and that was 4 months ago. Never had a problem. If you don't have a bender or steel, talk to a machine shop, I bet they would do it for about...
