    I have original S7 wheels,fenders, sprocket and a few other Stingray parts that I'm slowly restoring to go onto this frame. I was thinking of making a Key Lime Krate 8) ya know, the Krate that never existed. or maybe a Steamray? (a steampunk Stingray)

    thanks for the quick reply. I see what you mean about the tank area. I'm kinda saddened that I don't have a true Stingray or Krate frame, but, now I won't be hearing the cries of resto nuts when I start cutting the frame.

    so, I bought this frame about 3 years ago and have been building it into the pic you see here. but now the desire to know what I have is crushing me. the original color was a purple simular to the grape krate. buried under 3 layers of spray bomb paint I found some original paint in the corners...

    I had one shop charge me $1.50 per for cheapie spokes. that shop is closer to me than my regular bike shop. thats the only $3.00 they'll get from me.

    the perfect bike for those in snow areas!!!!

    Growing up in New Hampshire I used to run skinny tires in snow up to a foot deep to cut through to the bottom. anything deeper I would run a cruiser type (knobbies would dig in, cruisers would float) 26x2.125 at low pressure (about 15psi). I would have liked a set of the Surely tires. :)

    with the new job taking up so much time I needed something to relax with so with a late 70" rusted out Huffy Rangler that I had sitting outside for a while I decided to reak out the hacksaw and welder.
