yea the big give aways of it not being old school is the v break and bolt on stem. if your looking for old school, look for 1" steerer tubes and no break bosses.

so its not just me then lol thought i was just being retarded. ive seen it on loads of bikes and all i can think is that older forks had more movement on the spring plate cos on the bikes ive seen it angles up 45 degree.

there was a beetle down the road from me for ages then one day i saw it being towed, i asked the guys whos it was and they said no ones, so i slipped them £500 and had it put in my name. she was a beast, but then i got in a wreck and it was a write off, never ment to be i guess haha

see my spring plate dont seem to face up. it always faces at a 90 degree angle, is there something im missing

yea see the bikes id seen all have the springs on the outside too. but i cant seem to get the spring plate to sit flush with the headset piece. it looks like the turn it upside down so the 45 degree angle faces up, hummm i might have to go have another play. i wanted to try and use traditional...
