    Need a little help

It's called patience which sometimes is a little hard to come by! lol I ordered it on Thursday night, so hopefully it should be here sometime next week.

From the factory it came with 44-22. Is that not a good ratio?

    Sprocket/Cog question

Really! That I definitely didn't know! There won't be too much play in it?

    Sprocket/Cog question

Profile is a BMX company. They used to make some pretty good bikes back in the 80's and 90's. They also make some of the coolest sprockets/chainrings I've seen. I've been thinking about using the "Widowmaker" (attached image) on something as well! It's pretty sweet!

    Sprocket/Cog question

Huh... I didn't think profile made any multi gear bikes, but I could be wrong.

I know. Maybe it's because it was a 1 year special edition? I'd like to know how many they actually made that year. If you search for that model on google only a few come up. It's basically a modified Ultra Glide.

Not actually. I looked it up and the original MSRP was $429! I was surprised!

    Sprocket/Cog question

Fortunately I don't have any hills around me, so I can use a cruiser style bike 100% of the time without any problems, even if it's only a single speed. If I'm understanding this correctly, because there's only a 5% difference I really won't be able to tell the difference between the 44t and the...

Thanks for your reply! I was going to offer him $250 for it but I didn't know if that was too high, or too low. I just didn't think I was educated enough on them to know if I was in the ballpark.

    How much should I offer?

I think I posted this in the wrong area the first time. Anyway.... I went into a bike store I haven't been to before and noticed from a distance what looked like Dyno bicycles. I got up closer and realized they were Kustom Kruiser models manufactured after GT/Dyno was sold off. One was a red...

    Sprocket/Cog question

After a lot of reading, I'm still confused about this. I've read in more than one place that your front and rear sprockets should be a 2:1 ratio (i.e... 22t rear cog = 44t chainring/sprocket). I've been looking at a bike that is listed as having a 22t cog and a 46t sprocket so I'm assuming that...

First of all, this is a great and very informative forum! I've learned so much, and so many ideas have come from looking at all the beautiful bikes on here! I currently have an Electra Straight 8 3i that I've been slowly modifying, but I have gotten "The Bug" and I'm looking for something else...
