Just got the straightbar home, judging from the serial #(B34398) and the Schwinn catalog it is a 1953 Hornet. The 2 freebies today turned out to be a Huffy girls mountain bike and a Schwinn 24" Speedster with the 3 speed rear hub.

This one was definitely not original but was rideable for 15.00.

Stopped at the pawn shop and saw an older Schwinn road bike. It kind of confused me. It had a Chicago decal on the seat tube, but the badge on the head was a small round Schwinn badge with "made in Japan" on it. The frame is lugged, had a 3 speed "Quamax??) rear hub on newer rims. Any ideas...

I just found what will hopefully be my 1st Spaceliner. Is is the all chrome mens version, 26" wheels, truss rod type front end, and rear rack. Chrome looks decent from their pics, looks like it might need new tires and basic servicing and it will be a rider. What is a good price on these? I...

I found a Spaceliner complete but they have never shipped anything that large. I told them to check with their LBS and see if they could help with shipping it out. Any other ideas or anyone local to that area who'd be willing to help? I might be able to throw in a couple bucks too if need be...

I have a couple weird ones lately: 1st is a Holiday gas station bike- I'm guessing Murray but not sure. 2nd is a boys 20" Pilot bike- frame looks AMF to me along with chainring. I will try and get pics of my bikes here this weekend. Thanks, Jeff

I have used 2 of them now. They have a very nice ride. I took the clamp out of an older junk seat and put it in one of these for use on an older post. I like them, my .02. Jeff
