Oh yeah, I get ya! I just think the craftsmanship in some are very cool. I went to a bike expo in Indianapolis a few years ago and there were some handmade bikes there that just blew the mind! Wish I would have taken pictures then, ah well...c'est la vie!

I was over at my buddy's this weekend and saw this sitting on his desk. He said it was from Rivendell frames(?), a magazine had a promo where you could send them an info card and they would send you a free lug. It just a beautiful piece of metal work if you ask me! I know it wasn't handmade...

Not much progress to report yet, but my parts pile is looking glorious! I picked up a Schwinn front rack on ebay, and found this lovely light at a bike co-op in the area. All parts are sold on a donation basis, you just give them what you think its worth, or you can work it off by helping out...

Nice! I was tossing around the idea of getting a S6 Avant, but decided to go with the Forester XT, no regrets! Some day I'll pick up an Audi. The first car I ever drove was my grandma's Audi, she would let me drive it down the gravel road to their house when I was about 13, good times!

Re: 72 Typhoon Rat - Rust removal??? What is the best way to remove the rust from the wheels I have? I don't want to damage the paint, but I would like to make some of that rust go BYE BYE! I'm thinking a VERY light sanding in VERY small areas, or has anyone tried Goof Off Rust Remover? Thanks!

There seem to be a lot of cheap bikes on CL around here. Then I started noticing some of the "decent" bikes all said to contact the same person, so I did and it turned out that he had a load stuff!!! Just keep your eyes open... :shock:

I've got a question on what the standard size ape hanger are that came on some Schwinn cruisers. Were they 13, 15, 18 inch high, and how wide? I've got a Typhoon I want put ape hangers on, but I want it to look as stock as possible. Any help would be appreciated!
