This was once a fully geared machine. Replacing all of the new Shimano stuff is ignorant, so I converted it to a single speed!

Ha ha! These are much bigger than I thought, but I'm 6' 5", so they're pretty comfy.

Thanks! I really didn't think it would be worth anything, it's just a Taiwanese made cruiser. I did find out that it was made by Giant, the neck even has Giant engraved in it.

My project has a good foundation. This is an '85 Schwinn Cruiser, all of the chrome cleaned up nicely! Modifications and a paint job this Winter, but for now this is a fun ride. I need some ape hangers though.

Thanks for the tip. I've been using white lithium grease too, but I wasn't sure if it was heavy enough. I'll definitely try the syringe trick!

What kind of grease does anyone recommend using when repacking hubs and headset bearings?
