Finally found a new project after my last one was stolen.

Based on the date on the rear hub, I'm guessing it is a 1964 AMF/Hercules.

A real nice find there Bart.
......and the plan?

You might also my like check my neighbor's site. There's usually some sort of pleasant wrenching going on over the fence.
You might even spot a bike of mine.
(Hint, it starts with M and ends in K....sort of.)

Thanks and thanks for the link.

Good question. At this point, I don't have a plan. After disassembly and clean up I found some "character" I didn't notice earlier.

That said, I guess I have a vague plan; fix or replace hub, replace handlebars, find a solution for brakes and perhaps create two fenders from one bent rear fender.

All ideas sound good, as you deem necessary.
I'm thinking half fenders and change (or flip) of bars would add a nice path racer vibe.
'Sporting' even, as some may say, my good chap.
I really like the condition and color on this classic frame. It goes well with any shade of Tweed.
