I like the double lights mounted to the top of the forks. They flow with the double rear wheels too. Mounting the lights low on the axle will give you a weird light and shadow effect at night. I tried it once and it bothered me.

Thanks for the opinions and ideas everyone, I think I have a plan now.

No paint today, but did start on the plywood panels, glued the 1/2" foam on to the side pieces:

Started on the seat but ran out of glue after only two layers, was hoping for 3 or 4...

No hurry, will need more glue to finish the job on the seat, but at least it is started.

Ok, so dry flake... how bumpy is it and how much clear coat is it gonna take?

Carl.
I'm not going to lie, it is far more work.
It looks just ok at the moment, but for that inches thick, cast in glass look it needs more yet.
There is 5 coats of clear over it now, then I will wet sand it then two more coats.
The result will be worth it though!
Looks great!
So dd you have a gun in each hand? Very ambidextrous of you!
 I found it works for me, better than finding somewhere to put them down while switching...
Hot dog brother man you know I'm a sucker for some deep purple with a larger side order metal flake of course [emoji1306]
Hmmm, Deep Purple, that would make a good name...

Got some more pics today, one to show it in full shade, and you can see it needs a sand out and recoat:

And one in full sun to show the sparkle!

What a wild color! If anyone ever says that Luke doesn't 'think outside of the box', they're nuts!!
Thanks BB!

Not much to show, but I got the wet sanding done.
Here is what the bucket of water looks like when I finished:

Sort of milky/foamy, surprisingly thick...

Should get the final clears on in the next few days hopefully, no guarantees though, been windy and rainy here lately!

Working through my LED conversion plan, think I have it sorted, just need to pick some LED boards up next time I am in town, will be running a 4xAA battery set up like Pedro had.

Need some more glue when I am in town next too, to finish up the seat padding, aside from that, the build seems to be back on track for the most part.

Not long to go, but not much left to do either!

Luke.
