Now THAT is cool.....

It's not a new idea though. I saw a bike from the 1920's that had similar fenders made out of thin wood.... but they weren't NEARLY as nice looking.
 
wow sensor you get a cookie for that quick find. those wood fenders are very cool and i think the price is fair considering that they are hand made here i believe.

My brother in law is a quite talented wood worker, and specializes in speciality laminated objects (guitar bodies, boxes, duck calls, etc), and to be honest, the quality of work on these fenders and the time that I think it would take to make them, the $100 price he is asking for them seems more than fair.
 
Saw this bamboo bike at a woody car show, they used to have a website but Ithink it's down now.
