Nice galls
Ok...I'll bite. Whats a gall ??

I guess they could be birds in the pic but the round looking things in the top limbs look like galls to me, got a 50' oak tree in my back yard full of them, insects drill holes in the tree limbs, put eggs in there and cover them with a steroid sort of stuff the eggs can feed off of, the tree limb actually absorbs it and makes these huge apple sized ball of wood, they dont hurt the tree but the when the wind gusts hit 20+mph here it snaps the limbs and drops a wooden baseball from 30-50 foot at you. Sometimes they just snap too and fall. Hurts a bit when your not expecting it and it's a big one

No worries. Its all fun. We just had our first measurable snowfall last Sunday. Took 'til Monday afternoon to shovel out from 14.5 inches. Thinking of investing in a snowblower. Just can't justify dipping into my bike fund for it though.
