hello and good day
i thought this to be a sting ray frame but after doing some research i discovered the scrambler was this design as well
what confuses me is the forks
i know some sting ray 2's hd these but the scrambler did as well
so im trying to determine if its scrambler or sting ray
i couldn't find a serial number on it but there was a Schwinn head badge on it.
possibly a tornado as well?
please help me
thanks

After 1970 (early) Schwinn was putting the serial number on the head tube near the bottom on the right side. The first step would be to see what the date code is based on the serial. Then you can narrow down which actual bikes Schwinn offered during that time.

Other than that, I'm not sure what would help figure out what and when it is.

i did find out this is a true scrambler
according to the serial it is a 1975 Schwinn scrambler,
too bad i got her now and don't plan on restoring her lol
nah i lie i might rebuild her but i like her how she sits now .

heya kingsting
yes there is alot of reinforced welds on the frame and the seat post area
that's another way i found out its a scrambler i researched a few online and checked the info on them
this doesn't have anything the original scramblers had however except the ashtabula forks and sissybar which i do still have but removed
eventually ill end up restoring her but for now i like her the way she sits im a sucker for these old school bmxers and for the rat look and i feel i captured both aspects with this one
thanks for looking
Sean
