this is how the bike looks now. Still need to lower the seat a bit, bob the fenders, mount a better looking gas tank, expansion chamber, maybe some risers and dragbars...ride the the hades out of it. Tear it down...finish it up with paint and possibly some chroming or just let the california sun do it's work... patina is nice.

... went with my friend's idea for a seat bracket, he did the welding, etc. I did the grunt work. It worked out great, nice comprtable seat!

Re: Schwinnese build

Got the head light to work. It's a little dim, gonna have to go with bigger batteries and/ light bulb. Also installed an expansion chamber to the bike, what a difference it made. Post pictures soon...

Re: Schwinn happa build...

update: more slight mods
Narrow bars are on the bike now, looks and feels good while riding. Also expansion chamber is all welded up and works good. The muffler is on and it sucks. Don't sound good and it might be restrictive...gonna cut it off, run it staight, and later, place less restrictive muffler. Here are some pics:

the narrowed aluminum bars

overall fun bike...super skinny. Next on the to do list is a better lookin' tank and slightly lower the seat. etc.

I'm liking it so far. As for the headlight dimness. Why not toss a LED headlight unit into it? They've got a nice bright unit at walmart for just $10. Should be able to rip everything out from the inside as the LED is fairly small.
