ratchet?

anyone ever made a shifter out of a 1/4" drive ratchet before? karfers comment on a suicide shifter got me thinking it might be kinda cool to make one. dont know how well itd work with anything over 2 gears so i figured someone might have done it or tried...

where can you get a ratcheting shifter at for cheap ? ya know test-dummy priced :mrgreen:

i think itd work i just dont have anything that i could use it on(itd have to be welded to the frame) nor do i have a 2 speed hub i can spare. the only thing that might be a problem would be switching it forward and back wards(up/downshifting) well someday ill try it :|
