JC Higgins. Anyone know the year/make? Is this worth $40 for a two hour drive? I've actually NOT purchased two bikes due to advice from RRB. Thanks in advance...

Id buy it, but im just a sucker for bikes with dual carriers. Looks to be Murray built and perhaps early 60's.

If it's a Higgins, it was made in 63 or earlier. I agree it looks early 60's Murray built. 2 hours round trip or 1 way? That's about 50 miles away if it's an hour. 4 gallons of gas is 15 bucks. It looks like the whole bike is there. I'd get it if the wheels are straight.

Somebody on thecabe posted this exact bike. As I said there, this is an early Sears Flightliner from the late 50s to 1960.
