Pair of Puch's

1965 Dated 3 speed hubs. Sears badged Puch Bikes - Made In Austria, some were badged as Higgins and later Free Spirits though I read they were mostly Japanese built.

beautiful pair....Are those F&S(sachs) or Sturmey Archer hubs?

They are Sturmeys, what I am told is the "old" type AW hub, also was told this was better, but not sure why. These both had Italian CEV headlights also that had never had batteries put in them. Yanked them both for other bikes.

Are they both the same year?If so I wonder why two diff. styles of chain guard.

Looks like Back Alley Sally's relatives, I just picked up a newer Sears that is black like the mans bike you have it has a different hub and I havent figured the year yet,and mine also has a frame mount front reflector.
