One hour board track build... help me I.D. this thing

Well,

I was looking through my recent bicycle finds and decided to put together a board track style bike for my oldest son...

We started with this (A 24" boys bike)...

For the experts out there, Please take a look at these frame and serial number pics. I'd like to know what this bike was originally.

And after removing the bent forks, cleaning some overspray off of the chrome, adding a Schwinn type springer fork, an old Schwinn seat and some grips, we have THIS! A pretty cool looking old bike and a happy young man!

OK, thanks... I'll look up the serial number as Columbia and see what I get.

That's a 1950 Columbia/Westfield serial#. ~Adam
